Star was our first of many huskys and we just didnt realize how smart they really are. They seem slow and dum at times but they are not. They take in everything its like haveing kids and you have to watch what is said or done in front of them. Star had a litter of pups (6) and was in an outdoor box kennel with a swinging door. She would watch us open and latch the door and wow to are surprise she was letting herself and pups out for a midnight walk the pups where only 6 weeks old.. Well the morning i got up and she was gone i was franctic, i started to call her and did by suprise come back But with only 5 pups. So my husband and i started looking and listening . But could not find the pup, then the neighbor came up the driveway and asked if we lost a pup. well the horse on the other side of the stone wall did not welcome them and stomped the pup we got her to the vet and she had a broken front leg, colllasped lung and front pad on other front leg allmost riped off. she was a mess i thought for sure we were going to loose her. But we got her home and i would lie down with her and hold her till she fell a sleep. she had to be kept in a cage with very little activity she had to pins her upper front leg and they would pop out with to much move ment.
We named her Angels Lucky Star because she was very lucky. Angel is know 5 and my best friend. My Lab Bowser was so good with her. He hated puppies at that age because of all the biting and jumping they did. But he would roll over on his back and let her play with him he took good care of her and he has not let any other pup do that . We lost bowser 2 years ago and miss him terriably he was 14 years old.
